Kristin M. Kilbourn, PhD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Colorado Denver downtown campus and she has an appointment in the Division of General Internal Medicine in the School of Medicine at the University of Colorado. She is also Adjunct Faculty in the Colorado School of Public Health and an Associate Member of the University of Colorado Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Kilbourn earned her BA in Psychology and Biology from the University of California, San Diego, an MPH in Health Promotion at San Diego State University, followed by a PhD in Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Miami. Dr. Kilbourn has authored numerous articles for professional journals and has presented her research at several national and international meetings and conferences. She mentors doctoral students in the Clinical Health Psychology program at CU Denver where she has an active research lab. She is currently involved in a variety of research projects and intervention programs in psychosocial oncology, palliative care, cardiovascular disease prevention in underserved and rural populations, and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for those with serious medical illness.
